UYS DT – monocromatic challenge

Hey Scrappin fans,

I am up today with a new USe Your Stuff design team share. This week is my turn with the challenge and we are going with a monocromatic theme- use 1 colour in its various shades. I have picked the colour blue as it ties in well with the different blues in my photo.

Pop on over to the UYS challenge blog to get involved with the weekly challenges and use your stuff.

I also have a process video for you as well that I hope you enjoy.

Arty fun Friday- Process #2- Fireworks

Hey Scrappin fans,

I am back with my 2nd process video for Arty fun Friday and this one has a bit of a theme to it, fireworks. The Scrapping Good Times facebook group has a theme this month for their challenge which is fireworks. I have used several different things to represent fireworks , as they are to me.

I do hope you enjoy the video and see you soon

ScrapMir DT call.

I am writing this post for a chance to apply for the ScrapMir design team for 2018.

Here is the DT call:

  • We are a team of crazy creatives, giggles, serious scrapers and real hard workers, adoring their work.
This will be the 6th DK of our Challenger.
What will it be – depends on you, our future designer)

About me.

I am a Mum of 3 who works as an early childhood teacher from home in Canberra Australia.  I have been a scrapbooker for about 8 years starting with 12×12 traditional layout, documenting my sons life. Looking back at these layouts I think I was able to create some really lovely pages that told the story of his younger days. Several years ago I was introduced to pocket page spreads as another way of memory keeping in a fun, simple way. I have created from then both of these forms of scrapbooking and do believe I create some great pages. I create baby albums, kids albums, and family albums. I have also begun art journalling and using mixed media techniques on my scrapbooking pages. I am constantly on the lookout for new ways to scrapbook and use mixed media.

I would like to be on your design team, as the team sounds fun, flexible and really supportive. I feel I would be able to learn from other members as well. I also have a strong social media following so would be happy to promote  ScrapMir to my followers using the products supplied. My creations are bright, fun and simple but at times can get a little mixed media messy.

Here are 6 of my favourite works plus a link to my recent video (which is of an art journal page in my new art journal series).

This is also a link to my most recent YouTube video

I also have an instagram account-

Please feel free to view all of my social media links to gain an idea of what type of crafter I am.

Thank you for looking

Challenge Tuesday video #1

Hey Scrappin fans,

Happy New Year! I hope we have had a lovely start to the year. As I have said in some of my recent videos I am starting a couple of new series this year just to change things up a bit for me and you guys. Every tuesday I am going to pick a challenge from 1 of the scrappy groups and share my creation for it with you. Fridays are going to be arty friday where I share an art journal page or maybe even an OTP creation with you and Saturday/Sunday is going to be my Plan with Ames day, so where I share my weekly planner process with you. In between these set days I will also show any other layouts or pocket page spreads I do as well. So a jam packed plan of scrappy fun for you and me, I do hope you enjoy.

Up today I am sharing my 1st challenge tuesday video, which is my entry for the Scrap the Boys January challenge which is to add flowers to a layout about our boys.

I hope you enjoy and dont forget to like and subscribe.

Happy scrappin

12×12 layout- Fam fun.

Hey Scrappin fans,

I am back!! After the Christmas break with a new video to share with you. This one is for D-lish scraps December cyber challenge number 3- to create a black and white layout with only 1 other colour.

I am so happy with this layout, I love the variations of pink I have used here and how they have all contrasted well with the black an white background.

I hope you like it and the video too.

Happy scrappin

Amys arty fun #5- art journal page.

Hey Scrappin fans,

I have got a new installment in my art journal fun today, this one was inspired by this months Scrappingclearly moodboard challenge. I have used a blue gelato, colour blast paste and Heidi Swapp mist to create my background and I love it!! The quote is from Audrey Hepburn who is an idol of mine and I think is appropriate in this society of self doubt.
