Mixed media layout- Treasured memory

Hey Scrappin fans,

I am sharing a mixed media layout today that holds a special place in my heart. This layout I have done for the Scrapping Good times July color challenge (link to their Facebook page- https://www.facebook.com/groups/188058548066565/ ).

The story here and what makes this special is that this is one of the last photos with my Grandma at Christmas last year and I have not been able to scrapbook last Christmas because of this (it makes me cry), so this layout is special to me.

I will have a process video for this up on my channel soon so check back in over the next week for a link to it.

Use Your Stuff challenge #271

Hey Scrappin fans,

I have a new DT layout share for the Use Your Stuff challenge blog. This weeks challenge is ‘all creatures great and small’ ad of course I had to do a layout about my bunnies.

The patterned paper I have been hoarding since getting in my Kitaholic kit at Easter. It is a Dear Lizzy happy place paper. I have used 4 photos for this layout and several scrap papers to boarder the photos. The embellishments I used are also from the same kit as well as using some scraps to create those hearts.

Here are some photos of the layout as it came along. Thanks for looking and remember to check out the UYS blog for this weeks challenge and upcoming challenges.

Project life spread.

Hello Scrappin fans,

I am back to share a PL spread I did using the Cocoa Vanilla Studio You Rock collection- I am trying to kill my June Kitaholic kit before the July one arrives lol.

I have used the patterned papers to make the PL cards and then used the die cuts and printables that came in the kit to embellish my photos and create filler cards.

Another really simple but great looking spread IMO. I hope you like it too. (Mind the background as I was using my kids little lap table to scrap on the lounge).

Happy scrapping

Layout share- 12×12 mixed media

Hey Scrappin fans,

I have a layout share for you today; a 12×12 mixed media layout I have created using the Cocoa Vanilla Studio ‘You rock’ collection. This collection came as part of my June Kitaholic kits main kit.

First up I used a Kaisercraft mini stencil and some colour blast colour paste in bling to create the splatter patterns in the background. I thought this was a representative of the sand and waves at the beach.

While I waited for the paste to dry I begun building my layers behind the photo. I knew I wanted to use the blue burlap to create some texture and visual imagery (water). I have used patterned papers from the You rock collection to create the layers. And added the silver doily to pop the photo off the blue background.

I then added my title and the die cuts from the ephemera pack as well as some off cuts of the burlap just to add more visual interest to the layout.

And to wrap it up I added some yellow Kaiser rhinestones and the love and happy day die cuts and wella all done!

I love how easy, but aesthetically pleasing this layout is and it shows how versatile the You Rock collection is.

Happy scrapping
