Scrapping Fun DT share- January 2019 – 12×12 Layout.

Happy New Year Scrapping Fun Peeps!!

Welcome to a brand new year, brand new month and therefore a brand new kit, and for this 1st project of the month I am using a cut file and some mixed media to add to the kit. Now this months kit theme is a gamer type theme and for me we are not big gamers here so I was a little stumped, so I have gone outside the box.

My layout has gone with the colours of the kit and I have used the stars throughout the kit to go with the theme of nightime and sleeping- and wella here is my photo.

My photo is my stepdaughter and daughter in bed with me one weekend when Dad was away for thew weekend and we were having a girls weekend. I have used the stars from the kit to help with the theme of the layout, and then also used the colours from the photo to help bring in the kit.

I have used a star wreath cut file, which I coloured using Jane Davenport Inkcredible Inks in colours similar to those in the pattern papers.

I added a layer a piece of craft foam between the 2 pieces of patterned paper just to add that layer of dimension to the layout.

I have used some of the flairs and ribbon from the kit to embellish the layout as well some from my stash.

See you later in the month with another project.

Scrapping Fun Kits DT- November Kit- PL Spread- Dino Girl

Hey Scrappin Fans,

I am up on the Scrapping Fun Kits blog today with my design team share for November showing the very cute dino themed kit. This super cute kit is perfect for all the dino lovers and could be used for so many things , not just paper crafting (check out my unboxing vid to see whats in the kit).

My 1st project for the month is a project life spread for my daughters album and documents a recent day she spent with my Mum (her Nanny) and they went and saw a Jurassic World exhibit at the shops. My little Miss loves dinosaurs and has from very young, so she was super excited for this exhibit.

Scrapping Fun Kits DT- ‘Our Little Elf’- 12×12 Layout

Hey Scrapping Fans,

I am up with a DT share over on the Scrapping Fun blog today using the beautiful October kit, which is full of Christmas themed goodies- yes I hear you say Christmas but it seems early, trust me I thought that too but oh no it is not!! Plus if you are like me you are scrapping photos from last years Christmas anyway lol.

So I have this gorgeous 12×12 layout using a cut file from the Silhouette store , documenting a cheeky moment of my niece looking like a little Elf. I have used a variety of the papers to back my cut file and create layers behind the photo, and then the pretty embellishments in the kit to bring some sparkle to my page.

I have a process video for this one today, so click on the link below to check it out.

Scrapping Fun Kits DT- Embellishment Kit- 12×12 – The Lucky Ones

Hey Scrappin fans,

Amy here with my forst creation for the month using the beautiful pastel coloured embellishment kit. I loved this kit as soon as I saw it, with lots of ideas for how it could be use popping into my scrappy brain. So let me share with you this first one. I have used a piece of 12×12 patterned paper from stash as my background paper, then added some texture with paste through a rose stencil.

I then used 2 pieces of patterned paper from the kit to matte my photos. Then was time to get pretty with the embellishments from the kit. I have used 1 of the resin flowers, paper clips, lace flowers and lace ribbon. I also used the washi from the kit to add as backing to some labels from in my stash to note down some journalling on my photos.

The gold thicker title, leaf and hearts are also from my stash and added just a little bling to the layout.

I also have a process video over on my channel for this layout so just click on the link to check it out.

Until next time,

Kitaholic Kit- May kit bonus video

Hey Scrappin fans,

I know normally I would have a challenge video for you today, but instead I wanted to share a little something extra that I created using my May Kitaholic Kits. This months kits had the beautiful Simple Stories ‘I Am’ collection in them and my goodness it was just all kinds of beauty; the floral and butterflies and then the sticker book was just fantastic, plus the exclusive Kitaholic printable in the kits each month!!

So this layout is documenting a rather difficult occasion for our family and my partners family, yet it was a lovely moment to spend together so it was tricky to document but it was something I wanted to and also needed to do, for me. Scrap booking doesn’t always have to be about the big happy occasions, they can also be about the not so great moments in life and for me I use scrapping as a way to deal with my feelings about that moment too. This collection with its soft colour palette and floral pieces really was perfect for this layout and tone I wanted to set for this page.
